In my day job, I advise people to set goals and stretch themselves beyond what they believe they can accomplish. It's time for me to take my own advice, which means you'll see some changes.
The first change is my new website: www.jleighjames.com.
The second is my newsletter. (Go to the new website to sign up.) In this email, I'll tell you what projects I'm working on, when you can expect to see new works, and I'll share some behind the scenes information that you normally wouldn't know. For example, the ending to Wished was actually the third version of the story. I'll tell you about the other two in my first newsletter.
I also plan to release new titles every 2 - 3 months, including a new Epic Fantasy series I plan to launch in June 2019.
Are these changes easy? No, they are not. They require me to step outside my comfort zone and to spend money on my writing career when, before, I'd tried to do everything myself and save money. But, if I am taking my writing to the next level, then I have to make changes.
What about you? Are you setting goals and taking risks? If you're not, I encourage you to make some changes. They won't be easy, and you may not get the results you hoped for. The reward, though, will be your own personal growth and the satisfaction that you accepted the challenge.
