Wow! What a year 2016 has been!
I heard a commentator on a local radio station say, "If years could be people, then 2016 is a jerk!" I have to agree. We've lost so many amazing, talented people, and there has been so much turmoil in the world. On a personal note, we lost one of our sweet kitties this year, too.
Which is why I'm looking forward to a fresh start with 2017. Of course, I'll have some of the same New Year's resolutions - lose weight and write more (I accomplished both this year!) - but I'll also add a new one to my list.
Spread joy!
At least once a week in 2017, I want to do something to make someone smile. It might be as simple as paying for Starbucks for the person in line behind me or as big as volunteering with a local charity. Every week, I want to send a little love and hope out to the people around me. It won't change the world, but it might make someone's day.
What about you? How will you make 2017 different? Better?
